So with all the Academy Award chatter I decided that maybe I was wrong to assume that Terintino's Inglorious Bastards sucked. I's avoided it because I saw the trailer way back when and actually laughed at how dumb it looked. But I hey, maybe it deserved a second chance? Well it didn't. Within 15 minutes I saw that all it intended to be was a blood drenched 15 year old's wet dream with absolutely no character development or real plot. In short... it was retarded. Even Brad Pitt's acting sucked. Steaming pile of dog ****. If it wins the Oscar for best picture I will lose what little respect I had for Hollywood's most famous award.

I loved Pulp Fiction and liked the Kill Bill series... this isn't even in the same class. Its like an angry middle schooler tried to replicate his style and entirely missed the point. Fact is the movie is complete rubbish and I want my time back. Saying "its just how he is" is an excuse. If a movie sucks, it sucks... doesn't matter what famous guy made it.

It was alright, wouldn't call it an Oscar nom, then again half the movies nominated for best picture this year really shouldn't be included. |

I really like that "baseball" scene and the pub scene. Some really cool dialogs. Great movie overall.

Really? Cause although some parts were violent, the film was way more dialog driven than I thought it would be based on the trailer. |

I thought the Nazi character introduction was amazing, his acting was superb. Later on the whole thing went... Tarantino, killing everything on site and smearing blood all over the screen . |

There was hardly any killing considering how long the movie is. Are you guys imagining killing happening hence me not having a clue wtf you're talking about? |

It was long boring parts mixed with gore. It was like I rented a joke. I didn't like it at all. Extremely disappointed.

It's not killing, it's just general gore. Every time the option showed up it was shown in all it's glory - I know it's supposed to be his style but I don't think it would have been less affective if it was toned down a bit.

I thought it had a number of powerful scenes and plenty of tension and what I found to be interesting dialogue. I can see how it wouldn't be for everyone though. To be honest after my last Tarantino movie (Death Proof) I was expecting a steaming pile at best, I was pleasantly surprised ![]()

The last time I felt so much suspense/tension during dialogues in a movie was when I saw No Country For Old Men. It's not that easy to pull off. I liked this movie for that aspect alone. There were good bit of comedy as well.

I though it felt like a B movie sprinkled with some very well acted scenes. It was all right for what it was, but it was not a great movie imho.

Nobody should really have a lot of respect for the academy award. It's basically decided by other actors and industry "members" (peers). They don't have any more or less taste than you or I, but I assume they know more about what goes into making a movie.

It all makes sense now. Everything! LOST is just a projection of that fact our collective consciousnesses have created to help deal with the situation. The answer to everything.

I didn't like this movie either. I watched it for maybe one hour and then had to quit. It was just too boring. |

I think it dragged quite a bit and baseball bat scene was well underwhelming. Otherwise ok movie for one watch but wouldn't touch it for a second viewing. |

Rated 8.4 on imdb and 89% on rotten tomatoes and considering that it is a film that you have to "get", because of the dialogue. It seems like you just didn't get it, and that is fine, a minority of people just don't get it. Just don't cry about it on the internet.

I love Tarantino, but didn't care for this one the first time I watched it. Last week, I decided to give it another go, and thoroughly enjoyed it.

I don't understand Tarantino because I'm not 13 anymore...I've moved beyond silly predictable movies. I don't expect much from the movie experience (given the rash of dumbed-down hollywood movies over the past few decades) but his stuff is just plain garbage. Funny, but all my intelligent, mature friends can't stand his movies. And no, I'm not talking about a bunch of latte-sipping elitists. The people I know who act well below their age love his stuff...funny how that is But seriously, I guess I can understand how some people may like his style of film but to me it's just not worth watching. And I cringe to think that anyone who even possibly consider his stuff award-worthy ![]() |

I saw the original film in 1978 and loved it. I liked this film as well, but not as much as I remember liking the original. I do think that Christoph Waltz deserves an Oscar for his role as Col. Hans Landa, which he performed in FOUR LANGUAGES, fluently. He was amazing as were most of the cast, especially Melanie Laurent as Shosanna. Best Picture? I dunno about that, but I have not seen many films in the last year.

Still fits about IB. Not the woman stuff, but about it being a cool movie.
