Default Mum of 13: I won't stop until I've had twins

Quote:
A MUM-OF-13 who costs taxpayers £50,000 a YEAR has said she won't stop having kids until she gives birth to twins.

Baby machine Sara Foss, 39, is due to give birth to her 14TH child in April but will try to get pregnant again as soon as possible to realise her dream.

The brazen mum said today: "All I've ever wanted is twins or triplets. It's my biggest wish, and I'm going to keep trying until I do it.

"It would be fantastic. In fact, I won't stop trying until I've done it. I love having babies - it's the most wonderful thing in the world."

Allowance

Sara was 16 when she had her first baby, Patrick, in 1986 - but, traumatised by giving birth, she vowed not to have any more children.

It was a decade before she changed her mind and had a second son, Stephen - and she has almost averaged a birth a YEAR ever since.

She said: "I got over my fear of labour and just started having kids. They're all brilliant. They don't give me any bother. They're fantastic."

Her mammoth brood now comprises Patrick, 23, Stephen, 13, Malachai, 12, Peppermint, 11, Echo, 10, Eli, nine, Rogue, eight, Frodo, seven, Morpheus, five, Artemis, four, Blackbird, three, Baudelaire, two, and nine-month-old Voorhees.

All bar Patrick share a three-bedroom council house with their mother and father, Sara's long-term partner Stephen Smith, 40.

Even though Stephen works as a canal boat builder, the couple receive £4,200 in tax credits and family allowance every month.

Yet Sara, who has just run up a £5,000 bill buying her children's Christmas gifts at Toys R Us, claims they have to watch every penny.

She insisted: "I had been saving up all year so that we would have enough money to get all the presents. It was really hard work.

"We were in the shop for hours. Stephen had to do several trips home to take back what we had bought. I had blisters afterwards."

Each week the family forks out around £600 on groceries - including 32 loaves of bread, 75lb of potatoes and 126 pints of milk.

They also buy 36 rolls of toilet paper, three boxes of washing powder and eight boxes of cereal during their regular supermarket shop.

The annual school uniform bill is £2,000, and their holiday at Butlin's costs even more - mainly because they have to hire a minibus.

Sara, of Derby, begins her chores at 4am every morning and keeps the house spotlessly clean to avoid being tagged a layabout scrounger.

She said: "If people saw us living in a pigsty they would say that we were a scrounging, low-life family who begged from the State.

"They would say I was a slapper for having so many children and that I couldn't even be bothered to keep the house looking nice.

"And that's so not true. Even when I'm straight I can't put my feet up. I've been known to take down curtains at midnight and wash them."

She added: "We have a lot of bunkbeds and cots. All the furniture in the bedrooms is on wheels so that we can move it at bedtime.

"Baudelaire sleeps in a travel cot, and a couple of the lads use an airbed. It's a squash and a squeeze, but it's cosy. It's home."

Now 20 weeks' pregnant with baby number 14, Sara is preparing to welcome the clan's latest arrival - and already planning for more.

She said: "I wanted two - that's the disappointing part of this pregnancy. But there's always next time. I'm going to keep trying, that's for sure."

That should be illegal.

Obviously that woman is retarded (or has some serieus issues at least) , and retarded people should NOT be allowed to have babies.

We need a law, something like if you have children, and claim benefits for them like that then the state will enlist them in the army for a minimum of 3 years without pay to get some of its money back.

Just to have twins. That's her reason. Just to have twins.

Maybe someone could go to her house with a twin-barrel shotgun and holler, "You want twins?! HERE'S YOUR TWINS!" and unload both barrels into her.

Okay, that's a bit harsh, but for crying out aloud: How retarded can you be? Seriously?

Watch every penny my ass. I can guarantee you when I was young my parents didn't spend over 600 ****ing dollars on us every year. That counts birthdays, Christmas, and whatever the **** else we convinced them to buy us during the year.

This bitch is crazy. Let's thank the British government for enabling this to happen. Of course if she was in the US, she would have her own reality show.

What's the big deal?

It's not like she's making the government raise them. Sure she gets money from the government but how much is actual money and how much is tax breaks, who knows.

I really like her white-trash-of-the-UK naming scheme though

Q: Is the Sun an actual legit newspaper source or tabloid?

If a tabloid…then who cares? This story alone reeks of BS… the baby naming scheme alone is a dead giveaway.

Sure, if you want to suffer from the delusion people don't name their children terrible, terrible things. Which, while being a nice delusion, is still a delusion.

The Sun's a tabloid, but these stories aren't uncommon. In a lot of towns this is almost the norm, though not normally to quite this scale. There are more versions of this story from other sources on google news iirc.

From the story, it's ~£4000-5000 a month in tax credits and others. That's actual money, paid to them. They'll probably also be getting their rent and bills paid for them too.

Well since you live in the UK, you'd know better than me. An odd way of using the term 'tax credits'.

In any case, it's still her innate right to have as many children as she wants (and for whatever bat**** crazy reason she may have). She doesn't seem to be harming the kids, they seem to be well taken care of enough (toys, holidays, schools with bloody uniforms), and there's also another working parent to suppport them. Hell even if you paid taxes into the system that she's allegedly abusing, you wouldn't have any right to say where those funds should go.

So why the nerd rage people?

Why should the government get its money back? Should a student who fails a class in public school give the government its money back in endentured labour?

Overpopulation is increasingly becoming a huge problem, and as you can see in China, not everyone agrees with you that everyone should be allowed to reproduce as much as they want to.

Yes, anyone who fails a class in public school should be a government slave for a while, because those classes are not difficult at all. I'm sure grades would go up a lot if there was a bigger penalty for failing them.

Right now I am chatting with a monk who is sitting naked in an ice storm on his towel, his only possesion. He's using ipv6.

I don't think anyone should be taking cues from the Chinese government for social progress. Also, I'm pretty sure that policy wasn't enacted by any form of representation of the people's will.

People have an innate, indivisable right to procreate, no matter how mcuh you dislike them. Anyone who disagrees is, well, a dirty commie.

Yes, anyone who fails a class in public school should be a government slave for a while, because those classes are not difficult at all. I'm sure grades would go up a lot if there was a bigger penalty for failing them.
Not everyone is the supergenius you think you are. There can always be reason for children to develop learning difficulties or disabilities. Why should we punish them instead of helping them? That's exactly the kind of absurd draconian system I was mocking btw.

Funny, I don't see any logical argument here besides my own. I do see a lot of emotional reactions from the peanut gallery.

Not everyone with a learning disability is mentally-retarded and goes to special ed. My best friend had dyslexia and was undiagnosed until he failed grade 2. Makes a lot of sense to demand repayment when the system is the thing that's failed.

Bottom line, government spends its money to benefit the people. Inevitably you will get cases like welfare fraud where people are abusing the system. Such cases of fraud are often punished to the criminal extent of the law. But when someone is legitimately using government resources to support a growing family and there's no law to limit births, the only thing you can complain about is that you emotionally disagree with her choices. And if so, it's really none of your damned business.

Here, since none of you intellectual giants have come up with it yet:

40, the magic biological number. Discuss.

I work 60 hours a week and they make more money a month in tax payer hand outs then I do working for an honest wage. I don't have kids because I can't afford them. She has 14 and she can't afford them. Maybe if people were not forced to pay as much money to the government they could have kids of their own instead of paying for and raising child number 14 from turds like these.

It may be my dream to own a 2 million dollar mansion but I can't have it until I earn the money. Maybe the government should force everyone to pay more taxes to support my dream that I can't possibly achieve on my own.

Or maybe you and your partner should get a better job?

Alternatively, move to where that crazy lady lives since you can use the same resources to have a family.

Or maybe people should learn to live within their limits. If a tigar has 14 cubs and the resources cannot be gathered to survive you know what happens? They starve to death. Natures way of dealing with it. Society allows people to abuse the system which lowers everyone elses quality of life so that people like this can have 14 kids when they can't afford it.

If my name was Voorhees and I had brothers with the names Morpheus,Frodo, ect... and I had to live in a 3 bedroom house with 13 other people I would do nature a favor and end it myself, but whatever, I ain't pissed I just think it's ludicrous.
