Of course, this is starcraft we're talking about here. Nothing else than perfection is required.

Starcraft is laim. It's fun, but it's too ****ing full of itself (as is Blizzard themselves). It's faaaaaar from perfect. There are many RTSs better than SC, and I'm willing to be since it's just SC in 3D (as W3 was W2 in 3D), that that won't change.

I'll still get it though, cuz SC was some fun. I won't play online though. Battle.net is the worst online community I have ever ever ever ever seen, and that's including the Valve jackshits.

Looks pretty cool.. nothing really mindblowing. Happy to see Carriers making a return since they were one of my favorites from the original. That grass texture seems totally out of place though - looks like a mix of Warcraft 3's terrain with Starcraft's units.

What's so wrong about green grass on a random planet???

We are talking about an intergalactic war between 3 races ... The possible locations are infinite and almost anything can be justified.

I'm talking about the atmosphere of the original Starcraft compared to Starcraft 2's appearance. I believe there was indeed some grass in Starcraft, but it was darker I guess you could say and not so bright as in what we're seeing here. It just looks so bright and out of place with the high-tech units we're seeing.

Remember all the times you trashed C&C 3, and said it sucked, and that it was overrated, and all that mumbo jumbo?

Don't start crying now. You did the same crap.

Starcraft was my favorite online game "and was one of the all time great RTS games ever made", and SC II looks like it will not dissapoint, I see many late nights with no sleep for me.

I agree. Starcraft was the first RTS I ever saw, then afterwards I played Warcraft 2 B.Net Edition (came out in '99 I believe), then I got back into Starcraft when that game started to get old and I turned into a RTS fanatic afterwards.

If it wasn't for the original Starcraft, I can guarantee you that FPS games would be one of the few genres that interest me (considering Doom was the first PC game I ever played at the age of about 6 or 7.)

Starcraft was the first real computer game I ever played. That's why I have high standards for every game.

When I first started playing Starcraft, I thought every game had that calibre. I was sorely disappointed.

Totally. Id much rather have a story/character driven Warcraft 4 than another Starcraft. The heroes in WC3 own.

What do you call Raynor then, eh? He's a ****ing hero in the game minus the altars.

Simple fact of the matter is 'heroes' move the story along, whether it was fenix, kerrigan, Raynor, Dugal, or whoever you want to put in that place.

I don't get why everyone is saying it will be awesome, it looks like a pile of donkey crap.

The graphics from the screens are sub-par at best, especially for a company that has near-unlimited resources. What little I've seen of the gameplay seems just like Starcraft.

Too early to say whether or not it'll be good, but everyone seems to be creaming themselves over the name. I think it'll be a decent game, but it won't be a sequel, it will be a remake to the original named as a sequel.

For those worried about the graphics and grass, don't. From what I understand, the game is still roughly two years away from release, so I'm sure a lot will be changed...

Ya their were heros in starcraft but they were not a deciding battle factor. Nore could you use these heros in multiplayer. Nuff said and should stay that way for starcraft.

One group trying to turn starcraft into a MMO, and another trying to turn it into WC3. Amazing.
