Hard Drive Rage3D Article - Seagate 7200.11 Redux

Nearly 18 months ago, we published a review of the then new Seagate 7200.11 1Tb, comparing it with the previous generations. Since then Seagate has stayed in the headlines for the 7200.11 series – and not for the best of reasons. Join us as we take a look back at some of these events and, with new firmware installed, see how the 7200.11 series measures up today.

IPv16 expands on this theme. That will be described later when needed.

Thanks for writing that. I was quite curious how the firmware affected performance on those drives. Great read, and I hope they'll send you some 7200.12 drives to test
