Default My high school teacher shot and killed his wife.

And so did his wife, unfortunately she didn't make it.
I'm going to his house tonight with a few of my other former classmates, this is sickening.
She helped him survive cancer TWICE and she donates thousands of dollars a year to the local SPCA and volunteers at various animal rescues around town. I've only met her a few times, but I know she didn't deserve this.

Quote:
Kastner told police they were awakened in the night and saw a man standing in their room. The man asked to see their older daughter and when they told him she wasn't there, the suspect fatally shot Lori Kastner.

John Kastner, a well-known coach at Webster High School, told officers he scuffled for the gun and was shot in the hand. He was taken to a Tulsa hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
*edit: Evidently it was with his own gun. How did this guy get into a locked house, get a hidden gun, unlock the gun, and get to his bedroom.

Death penalty should be used in this case i think.

edit: forgot the link, sorry.

Sounds like he's been in the house before, knows the family and where they kept things. Definitely someone the family "knew" at one time. Still horrible.

OMG I'm so sorry dude!

And I'm sorry for Mr Kastner, what an ordeal to have to go through... to awaken to a man in your room pointing a gun at you, scared out of your mind, and when he asks a question you answer it, and you have no idea that he won't like that answer, and he shoots your wife. You have to watch him shoot your wife and then you panic to get the gun off him to pin the bastard down and stop him from wasting you, and you get shot in the hand before he runs away, leaving you to deal with a life-altering catastrophe. All in the span of a minute.

Oh man...

Please send him our regards sittal.

All their kids are adopted, the daughter the guy was looking for goes to the same university I do, different campus though, so she doesn't live at home.

It's still pretty scary that I only live about 4 miles from where this happened.

I'm thinking the guy was drugged up or something. How do you just shoot someone like that?

Very few details as it only happened last night..

edit: did i really forget to put the link? lol, im a dink.

Wow, what a son of a biitch...

And I didn't know his wife was Jewish, but that's besides the point... your teacher lied to everyone, you included sittal, and this was your gym teacher who you admired so much... I'm sure you had no idea, but ffs...

swingline, mad propz for detecting the BS.

Man, this story makes me sick. To shoot your wife in the middle of night twice in the head while she's asleep...

Sittal, you said Mr Kastner got injured in a "scuffle", did he show any injuries to prove it? Anyway, doesn't matter, they got the bastard.

And there I was, sympathizing for the guy. What a sack of ****...

John Kastner, 50, was arrested this morning. He was charged today with murder in the death of his wife, Lori Kastner, a former attorney at the Oklahoma Supreme Court. The court affidavit says she quit her job last month to go to work for John Kastner’s fictional nonprofit organization.
Oh crap man, all that money she donated to "charity" went to anything but! Damn, he had her completely fooled and when she finally caught on to his lies, he killed her. What a ****ed up individual.

hope sittal is ok.

he probably went over to the gym teacher's house and had the door slammed shut and locked behind him...

...or he could just be in serious shock.

Sorry for my absence, GF hasnt worked much this week and we've been hanging out, enjoying my two weeks off.

We all went to the high school football field that night, nearly everyone in the community turned out, now were hearing all this ****.

its ****ing nuts, i respected this man, learned from this man for four years. him and his wife have been involved in every aspect of the community for years, everyone on the west side of tulsa respects this man, and he's one of the few people that actually dont take **** from the students at school.

he commentates for the football games and hes also the medic for the sports teams, lol.

im honestly having a hard time beliving he did this.

edit: hes not the gym teacher but a sophomore english teacher and chairman of the sports department for the school.
also: there are a lot of jewish people in tulsa, my girlfriends sister teaches music for the jewish community center, which his son was a member of (he was gonna be a freshman at high school this year).

That's crazy!

He may have shot himself in the hand and then made up the story to cover up.

Good call, swingline. I didn't even read the full story.

Wow...

I find this truly amazing. His wife was a lawyer...which is pretty impressive on it's own. Buy not just any lawyer, a lawyer for the Oklahoma State Supreme Court.
And this guy was such a good liar he had the wool pulled completely over her eyes, so much that she quite her job to work for a foundation that didn't even exist. He's a complete psychopath.

The police had it figured out almost instantly. Love is truly blind
