| Console Gaming This is the place to talk about the Xbox 360, the Nintendo Wii, the Playstation 3... and of course all the classic consoles too. |

Hey Ragers, I'm a PC gamer who has (and loves) his Wii. My PC is a love hate relationship and is leaning more towards hate these days. I can run GoW and most games pretty well, but that won't be the case in a few months down the line. I'm considering a Xbox360 for my gaming fix. I was kinda shocked at the sticker price of the Elite and was wondering if it's worth it. What do you guys think? Is the 120G HD necessary? Does the Pro give out the same resolution display (Is says HDMI so I'm guessing it does)? I'd much rather save $100 (to spend on games) if I can. Any thoughts would be helpful.thanks |

I've got a pro and never had storage issues. This is because mostly all the games worth playing are all on a DVD and can't be downloaded. Elite is a waste of money for people without specifically high storage requirements.

Yup, both have hdmi. I'd only buy the elite if you plan on downloading the xbox origials... not sure why anyone would though. |

The only difference between is just a bigger HD and black color finish. If you are a media-o-holic and download alot of movies, XBL games, extra game content and XB originals, id go with the elite. If not then stick with the pro. |

The elite also comes with an audio dongle that the pro does not. The dongle by itself is $50. It can been seen here... http://www.llamma.com/xbox360/news/i..._360_elite.htm It all depends on your needs.

![]() I bought the elite because I like wasting money, but you can get the cheaper one and add a 120GB if you need it and save some $$ Quote:
