Drivers are working well, no issues found in any title so far that I have tested.

Bioshock
World Of Warcraft
Crysis
Half Life 2
Counterstrike Source
Unreal Tournament 3
ETQW

Also MIN-FPS has increased with this driver. Gameplay seems less sluggish since there is not a large drop in FPS in certain situations. This is a plus.

i have found since i got my g80s that theres just small bug fixes when the number change is so small(174.74 to 175.12). when theres real improvements the number change will always be big(169 to 174, 163 to 169)

Not surprising since thats the case. Thats basically how nvidia handles it. There was an annoying bug in the 174.74 drivers with the SLI profiling thats fixed in 175.12. And of course these drivers are 3dmark vantage optimized I believe.

i hope they fix the af profile bug thats been present in all the 170 servers drivers ive tried. enabling af always turns on the filtering optimizations for that games profile and u have to reset them back to off.

Hmm...was not aware of this. However, checking my Oblivion profile seems to collaborate. Texture filtering-Anisotropic sample optimization is turned on when the recommended setting is 'off'. I'll have to keep an eye on that. Thanks.

Well i tend to never recommend downloading beta's that don't come from Nvidias website. These ones I just happened to recognize.

I've tried i think three different betas that don't support portrait mode

Pure waste of time.

And now the 174.74s somehow broke on me...they were working fine, but now my fps in UT3 have basically halved somehow...no idea what happened...no settings were changed...it's like they just broke, & instead of playing UT3 @ 2560x1600, i had to drop to 1600x1200, since even 1920x1440 wasn't doable.

If your that apprehensive. I'd just wait till the officials come out. They're not that far off. I think your performance being halved is wierd I couldnt explain that. I had my own problems with the 174.74 drivers but they were SLI profile related.

My latest official driver for this card is from December.

And it's [169.25] completely beyond broken for playing UT3, nevermind newer games.
169.28 semi-works, but it'll cause BSODs about a third of the time when alt tabbing in UT3, something that luckily doesn't seem to happen my now broken 174.74s.

It's kinda funny really.

Back when i had my 6800GT, i had the exact same issues.
Nothing but craploads of garbage betas, & officials were so few & far between they were useless for any newer games.
I went back to ATi for a few cards, & then came back to nVidia for the GTX of course.

And i'm loving how years later, it's the exact same crap.

Officials that are ages between, & countless garbage betas to filter through just to find something that might sorta work.

Sorry for venting...just incredibly annoying how a company can learn so little in so much time.

The worst thing is, i know i'll be buying GT200 too, since guaranteed it'll beat AMD's 4800s...except it'll be the same drivers issues again.

Bioshock World Of Warcraft Crysis Half Life 2 Counterstrike Source Unreal Tournament 3 ETQW Also MIN-FPS has increased with this driver. Gameplay seems less sluggish since there is not a large drop in FPS in certain situations. I think your performance being halved is wierd I couldnt explain that. And it's [169.25] completely beyond broken for playing UT3, nevermind newer games. 169.28 semi-works, but it'll cause BSODs about a third of the time when alt tabbing in UT3, something that luckily doesn't seem to happen my now broken 174.74s. It's kinda funny really. Back when i had my 6800GT, i had the exact same issues. Nothing but craploads of garbage betas, & officials were so few & far between they were useless for any newer games. I went back to ATi for a few cards, & then came back to nVidia for the GTX of course. And i'm loving how years later, it's the exact same crap. Officials that are ages between, & countless garbage betas to filter through just to find something that might sorta work. Sorry for venting...just incredibly annoying how a company can learn so little in so much time. The worst thing is, i know i'll be buying GT200 too, since guaranteed it'll beat AMD's 4800s...except it'll be the same drivers issues again. __________________ n7 n7
