ATI Technologies Catalyst Beta 8.49 Leaked

The Windows XP version (which apparently works with both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of the OS) can be downloaded here, and the Vista 64-bit version can be downloaded from here. There’s no Vista 32-bit download available at the moment.

Yeah, spoke a bit about em in the official thread about the 8.4s. They add support for app controlled AF in Assassin's Creed in DX10(it was borked with the 8.3s/Hotfix, dunno about the official 8.4s), and they help a bit with Hellgate:London DX10. Other apps you would be interested in?

sometimes one wonder why AMD.ATI got in package old HDMI drivers while REALTEK got on site way newer ones ...

creates just duality
install ATI drivers, watch it overwrite Your newer drivers with some old and then re-install up2date HDMI driver from realtek

So what is the deal with these drivers? Are these really a hotfix for the 8.4 driver? are they any newer then the 8.4's? Who is using this driver, what are your results. Thanks

I've just installed them (XP32) and they worked fine so far.

No new profiles for these games: Timeshift, Frontlines Fuel of War.

UT3 + AA still runs choppy.

I am running these and they have been good so far....they removed some shadow artifacts in Crysis DX9 for me and seemingly reduced the number of flashing textures in Crysis DX10 (but do not hold me to that)......i am staying with these unless i see a reason to downgrade to the 8.4 official.

yeah the crysis flashing is odd. it seems to flash more during the timedemo benchies, but less in the actual game. the fps and stuttering i have is the same, though.
