I am running Ubuntu 6.10 with an Ati X1600 AGP 512MB. I installed the drivers and now the screen is all kinds of messed up. For an example, it looks fine on boot, but when you open Firefox, and scroll down, the website becomes missing in some areas. Same thing with applications, when I open an application the buttons will be missing and if I move it, parts of it goes away. I would take a screen shot but I can not get that far with it. I have tried to automatically install the drivers and manually install the drivers. So, what do I need to do to fix this? Thanks, svfusion ![]() |

I get exactly the same display-error with a X1950 Pro AGP on Mandriva 2007.0 if anybody knows how to fix this kind of error please let us know ... regards truthy edit: problem solved by switching the agp aperture size in bios to 265MB (others switched it to other values to work ...)
