I'll start off

Try to take shots as if it was a photograph with the HUD all disabled or editted out. If you want, do edit the picture to make it look more realistic

Far from photo-realism but closer.

precisely, it is practiaclly impossible to replicate all the colors in the world.

and no, not every screen shot looks photorealistic, you have to shoot at an angle ect to achieve maximum realism

Love the camera glare effect in that shot. (Those multiple circles)

Far Cry taken at 1600x1200, EVERYTHING completely Maxed out except for AA at 2X (AF also maxed to 16X), image size reduced to 1024x768 however.

Using the Improved Rendering Mode

UT 2004, Tensile Steel DM map, taken at same settings as Far Cry.

Here's a great example of "game photography" or "virtual photography", i.e. the point of this thread

Not my pic, btw...

EDIT: Fixed dead linky... (R.I.P. )

Nice thread.
Absolutely SWEET hl2 and fs2004 shots.

Can Twinke or anyone edit these? I don't have the skills =\
http://img41.exs.cx/img41/2949/hl220...-25_resize.jpg
http://img41.exs.cx/img41/5519/hl220...-74_resize.jpg
http://img41.exs.cx/img41/9653/hl220...-67_resize.jpg

Taken on my 8500 at 1280x960 then resized to 800x600.
Took these basically to show how good the 8500 was even in 2004, hence fraps.
The shots came out looking quite photorealistic and could benefit even more from some photoshopping.

Madden 2005

Taken at 1600x1200 with everything maxed, reduced image size to 1024x768, playing on Artifical Turf.

Oh, and screw editing, this shot looks photorealistic on its own merit

Oh, and obviously through CG renders we have achieved damn near photorealism, so i dont think its fair to include such images.

Only real time, in-game images should count.
