Half Life 2 Ending discussion (spoilers)

I finished the game yesterday and still the Scenario is a mystery for me

The game ends suddently with a Explosion and a Time Freeze and then these G Man(A human god) appears saying some crap about that my service is no longer required for the moment and then all goes Black saying some philoshophical crap and the guy exits from the "void"

GAME OVER

So many questions Unanswered

-Who is these G MAN and have the ability to affect time and space ??
( I have not played Half life 1)

-Was i fighting in a Alternative Universe and Future all the time ??? The game does not say anything about the time you are fighting and the details
(these Biomechnical Machines that i was fighting all the time surely seemed Alien and not Terran...strange)

-Why the Final Bad guy wanted to go to another Universe and why all these mess ??

Anyway i enjoyed the game but the scenario had gaps and was somehow strange...(Was these guy a Threat to the G-Man and that was all my mission all about, to stop him ??)

The end totally sucked. The first half-life felt real, with an begining and an end and g-man was more like a mere mortal but this end totally undid everything. It's like none of it really happened, the g-man just put it in freeman's head.

In the first Half-life you work in a goverment facility where a teleport to another dimension is opened. Apparently the second half-life suggest that earth was overtaken by these aliens from other dimension.

So many questions are indeed unanswered, and none of the questions from the first half-life were answered either.

- g-man turned from mysterious to unrealistic.
- why did the enemy aliens from the first half-life suddenly become friendly?
- what was it that was going on in the citadel?
- what was it that was going on in the world?
- what was freemans objective? Do whatever Alyx tells him?
- did the death of the end bloke do anything good? He didn't seem to be behind the alien invasion, just taking advantage of it.
- Did the game really happen or was it a dream in freemans head?

While the first HL was a prelude to the scenario in the second one, the plots didnt seem to connect in any other way than the familiar characters.

LMAO... It's your own damn fault for rushing through the game rather then playing it!

Valve is a BIG fan of the "Show, don't tell" Method of story telling. Just because Valve makes you actually LOOK for the story rather then shoving it in your face, you guys missed the whole point. LOL

Most of your questions were readily answered in the game. Gman is the one main question left. The rest...it's all there. just use your eyes and your brains, and go replay it. Sheesh.
(Or search, I'm TIRED of having to explain it to people simple because they rushed through the game expecting to have Alyx hold your hand and explain everything to you on terms a 3 your old could understand.)

I doubt the G-Man controls time...it's very possible he pulled you away from the explosion, and simply slow downed the last memories in your mind.

My guess is the folks offering him "interesting" job opportunities are other races who want to resist the combine.
