Candy stuck in Throat

today during school my friend gave me a candy, then i accidently swallowed it because i was chewing gum at the same time. But its 5 hours later and it still feels like theres something stuck in my throat, i tried forcing it down with food but it didnt work, then i tried drinking piping hot water to soften it up but i can still feel it there. Any body know what might help it go down?

Unless it was a mutant jaw-breaker, you're imagining things. Hard Candy shouldn't last through 5 hours of mucous/salyva/acid.

Are you sure it's in your esophagus btw?

I swalled a jaw breaker once.. it felt like it was still in my throat for about 30-60 minutes....

if you can't cough it up then it's probably not there. maybe it nicked the side of the esophagus and you're feeling the cut that's there and not actually the candy.

I have a damned hair stuck in my throat that wont come out. I hacked, I ate sticky fruit snacks, 2 days its been like this.

I did the same thing when I was a kid. It felt like it was still lodged in my throat so I panicked which in turn panicked my dad. He picked me up and ran like 3 blocks to a doctor.

you still feel it cuz the huge thing going down your throat did damage, and you're feeling the pain of the damage. the thing itself has been digested. i speak from experience.

u know when u cough up phlem...and then theres the process of getting it out of your throat and into your mouth so u can spit it out. try that. usually works for me when i have something stuck in my throat.
