where exactly do the temporary internet files and cookies go when you use Mozilla? I can't find it in the Mozilla directory anywhere. I recently started using it and now both Internet Options AND disk cleanup are saying everything's clean, but I'm still staying logged on to this and other forums so obviously the cookies are out there somewhere..

if you are using XP, try searching (drive letter):\Documents and Settings\Admin\Application Data\Mozilla. then look for \Profiles\DEFAULT.DFU\Cache edit: that's for mozilla firefox. dont know about mozilla but they may be the same. Last edited by TIKtak : Aug 1, 2004 at 05:07 PM. |

Well, internet options only affects IE, and i'm sure the same is true for disk cleanup. While in Firefox, Tools -> Options -> Privacy. From here you can either just view and clear the cookies, and clear the memory cache. ![]()

thanks, I didn't see the cookie manager in the preferences. But where on the HD are they? (doesn't really matter now, I'm just curious)

Cookies are in the folder one up from the cache as described by tiktak, they reside inside the file cookie.txt. |
