You have two options...

1) Buy the game

or

2) Play it with the DVD in the drive.

(I am assuming you'll just have to use option 1 though)

first off, mp3's are just as illegal as downloading a game.

Second nocd cracks are useful to people who buy the game, i did it for both diablo2 and SC, it was very useful for thoes 2. Of course many other games to. nocd crack isnt illegal. Get it,.

Although taking 4-5 seconds to use my dvd drive for disk check, i would prefer having a no cd patch :/ Just the spin up sound annoys me lol

There's nothing wrong with using no cd crack.

we don't even know if he has bought the game at all. But judging from the first post he hasn't since he is so desperately looking for a no-cd crack. And i don't think someone is so dumb or lazy to allow the disc check rather than wait for a no-cd crack. So yes he hasn't even bought the game, invalidating the usage of no-cd for him

I bought the game, and i have patched it to the ati patch. Im also looking for the crack, because i play a lot of games and i hate having to look for cd boxes swapping out games etc.... i just prefer to click and play. It is not illegal in europe (not sure about states) once you own the original and its damn handy if you are forced to reinstall from a backup cd because your original is damaged (happened to me many times) and i dont really like have to pay westwood and other companies 20 euro for a replacement generals cd2 when the manufacturing cost of a replacement cd2 is no where near 20 euro (thats practically half the price of the game)
Kind Regards,
i_wolf

I can't believe someone would download so many cd's for this game. Enter the matrix anyone? Nope.

My connection is WAY to slow to dl a DVD9! i did buy this game! and it's just a pain in the ass to insert cds, for the same reason the stupid EA ****ers force me to watch their 'challange enverything' videos for some odd reason

if you have the space (3.8GB) and simply cannot wait for the "patch", then just use something like Alcohol 120% and make a dvd image, then just edit the registry and point the source dvd for mgs2 to the virtual drive loaded with the image. It works.

I do that with some games...but it normally doesn't work...they most of the time still need the cd...plus i only have like 5 gigs left on my hdd.

Cry me a river... You think I'm gonna put the CD in the CD ROM each time I want to play one of the 30-40 games installed on my PC right now???

And anyway why do you care if he bought the game or not????

it seems to play fine with a controller with analog stick for slow walking.
i'm using an adaptoid that connects the n64 controller to my pc and it plays great that way.
if ya don't have a controller buy one when you purchase mgs2.
it has no mouse support and the keyboard control really sux to configure!

I'd imagine you can since you can only move up down left right. Either ways it'd be customizable. You can't move in 1st person mode so they'd probably implement mouselook on that one.
