Looks like loads of fun.

Just afraid it may be too similar to DC.

Beside all the new big stuff like the commander function and the squad system, the smaller details like the shellshock effect ala Call of Duty, ricochetting bullets doing damage, crouching in turrents, able to use your weapon in the passenger seat and being able to shoot through different material creates a more realistic and intense environment wich I really missed in previous titles.

I also spent some time flying choppers but I almost always ended up crashing in panic trying to steer away from missile locks. I am still hearing that warning sound in my dreams
There is still a lot of polishing to do but I think this will be a blast both in public and for competative gaming. Bring it on!

Sounds good to me, atleast more improvements and less suck then vietnam. especialy the soldier responsivness, always hated how it feels in bf games.

hahahahah

judging by this screen shot id say it looks more like a uniformed army we'll be facing. which is too bad because i like killing terrorists in a simulated environment. maybe different teams for different maps like BF:V?

this is the only game i've been excited about. Doom3- no. HL2- no. farcry- no.

nothing really interests me aside from the battlefield games. this one is going to rock

DICE canada didn't do a great job with BFV, but the original DICE teamed based in sweden which put out the orinigal BF1942 is doing this one, with a much larger budgest. should be kickass when it's released

Thats the truth. When it was first annouced they had a video of gameplay that looked like reality. Buildings could be blown up and all kinds of stuff. Now not only are the graphics not as realistic but some of the features have been clipped. Thus making Battlefield 2 a simple update of battlefield with modern weapons and improved graphics.

"Two kits, the Medic and Support kits, lets you heal/revive people and also drop ammo for other players – both of which will score points for that player . The Special Forces kit has a c4 and the laser designator that works together with airborne forces."

It's already sounding too much like Desert Combat .

Hah just noticed, the blown up chopper is still a retarded-looking model just blowing and then droping unrealistically, looks like they dont really plan to improve on much, meh

Yeah, because you can paint targets and revive dead players in DC

And BTW, China is supposed to have the most advanced equipment.

Yeah, but I knew they couldn't pull off those graphics when they said BF2 will support up to 100 players online. So there is always a trade off...

What kind of responsivness do you expect from somone who looks like he is running with a 1m wooden stick shoved up his arse?

At any rate, I think it looks much better than the early movies... At least the gameplay and feature section. I *DEFINETLY* like the fact you can hide in the grass, and the command/squad system...

Maybe Battlefield will be Joint Operations done right

That is if they have a similar AAS style gameplay mode. I refuse to play the BF1942/BFV run-around-in-circles flag capturing mode, with 2-3 people tops at each location. Attacking locations defended by 20-30 people has left me spoiled... Or 50 people for that matter
I wonder if there will be coop too.

Dont trust that... That's what people thought about JO. The gameplay mode is the thing that keeps it focused, the commander abilities arent used at all.

(and then if you take into account the different communities... Lets just say following a commander in a BF game would probably only be a way to get killed more effiecently)
