Aren't runways supposed to be flat? This one seems pretty hilly.

Yeah, they're supposed to be but few of them actually are. That one is pretty bad, though.

Those were awesome, esp. the white Airbus 330 in the middle of the vid.

And of course there was the ole Checkerboard Approach into the now-closed Hong Kong Int'l Airport.

The camera is zoomed way in so everything in the view gets scrunched together, which greatly exaggerates the terrain.

The YT channel BIG JET TV had a 6.5 hour live stream at Heathrow in London back on the 9th

I was in a four seater plane, one of two in the plane, when we had to land at a small Arizona airport, with strong cross winds. We came in almost literally sideways, and as soon as the wheels hit the runway, it jerked the plane forward. Perfect landing. But wow that was intense.

If you have to play in the wind, at least have fun with it.

Sure doesn't make me regret never flying. Not that I wouldn't. The need just never arose.

Been on flights like that out of Boston. 45 MPH cross winds in the winter we were the last flight out. The plan lifted off and bam all you could see was water as it blow us sideways out over the bay. Was crazy scary like a roller coaster. The engines were at full roar and the pressure holding me in the seat was amazing. The pilots did not stop talking us through it till he got us above the storm which was just a few min at the speed he was running us at. Some of the more seasoned flyers said they should never have let us go. Being a guy that hardly ever flew I was like a kid in a park. I thought it was awesome till I realized it was dangerous. Then it was 'Whoa!'
