Default The weather is getting warmer. Do you know where your Polo's are?

Which do you prefer?

Lacoste vs. Ralph Lauren polo style shirts

My buddy flew off the handle when I bought a couple of RL Polo's yesterday. Asking why I didn't get Lacoste. 2 reasons: 1) Lacoste makes feel like a little boy for some reason, 2) RL Polo's fit better and look a little more classy.

What's your pick?

Ralph Lauren fits me better. The Lacoste ones are shaped awkward and the material is not my fave exactly...

after taxes?? depends on the state, then even that is dependent on the locality. here in my part of the great land of Texas, it'll run about $82 US. That's for the "mesh" style. The plain janes are about $70 US

Mesh FTW.

Once I get back in shape I am going to pull a Hidavi and spend like $1000 in one day on some swank clothes

ya, the plain janes look freakin' cheap. mesh has some substance to it is said to hold up better. matter of fact, when i bought mine, they didn't even have the plain janes. they had mesh only, so i'm guessing the plain janes are being discontinued.

God damn you guys got it cheap over there!!

Over here, they're around £70, roughly ($140). Obviously it depends what style you go for, give or take £10. Much cheaper on eBay, but I cant trust that.

looking just at raw numbers it looks cheap. i'm sure you guys have more UK dollars to make it roughly equivalent. The Law of One Price will make this so.

most people pay for the little logo on the side, i hate polos, they dont last me very long, i would much rather wear a tshirt, i feel more comfortable, and i hate shirts/polos/tshirts with logos on them

actually i don't like my brand to show on my clothes either. these are the only clothes that show the brand that i own. the truth is, in these style shirts, they all have some logo on them. The ones that don't don't seem to last after a couple of washes (faded, shrink, collar that doesn't stay put, etc.) so for Polos, I'll gladly buy something of higher quality after being burned by cheap makers. I have another buddy that wears a navy color RL polo for the last few years I've known him and I swear to god that thing has not faded yet.

You can buy two cheap shirts that last 1/2 as long for $40 each.

Or you can buy an $80 shirt that lasts twice as long as the cheap ones.

So buying polo means you shop LESS and shopping is for ladies.
