Default Nvidia announces 512MB GeForce 6800 Ultra

nVidia stocking up on more video memory:
The "new" 512MB GeForce 6800 Ultra actually uses the same chip as the 256MB GeForce 6800 Ultra GPU, but has been validated to support 512MB of GDDR3 memory. The increased memory size will allow the video card to run games at higher resolutions and at more demanding antialiasing settings while maintaining playable frame rates. The 512MB Ultra will also support Nvidia's SLI technology which allows two PCI Express video cards to work together in a single system.

More at Gamespot.
