Incredible what this crosire guy is doing for gaming.

Tried the new framework, works ENTIRELY ingame with real-time shader effect.

Still has probably minor bugs, but this new re-written version is nothing short of AMAZING.

Reshade 3.0 packaged loose in a zip file without this kitchen sink shoe horned ingame bullshit and a simple text file opened and edited in notepad which is then loaded by dumping the dll and said text file in the games folder.

Also did I read that right he removed DirectX 8 support?

I thought the same thing at first before trying it. Now that I have tried I don't mind it at all. The in-game gui is a great touch. The new version is missing some of the shaders from the previous packages though.

I think it's a step in the right direction, considering how alt-tabbing is a chore and sometimes certain games crash with alt-tab with the injector. The gui is convenience with how applying and editing each shader is live.

you guys not serious, right?
alt-tabbing when running three monitors is ONE SERIOUS PITA, especially when trying to get the effects right and it needs to be done 20 times in a row.
the interface seems quite clean and user-friendly so far.
and injection on-the-fly is pretty amazing imo.

It's good, I tried it back in beta standalone mxao. Though much like the previous ao methods, it has a draw back; if there's fog/mist in the game, the ao will render over it making it look weird.

I tried it out, and I like it . The ability to see the effect and framerate impact right in game is really nice. One shader I will be missing, though, is Otis' Depth Haze effect -- that was very nice for subtly blurring out the far horizon and making distant textures look more believable. Maybe that will get added back in at some point.

But overall, I'm liking the move from 2.0 to 3.0 much more than I did for 1.0 to 2.0.
