Yeah, I was trying to get a way to use my PC speakers for my TV and my current PC speakers don't have any inputs except standard 1/8" stereo jacks.

The TV speakers aren't the greatest, and it would be nice to use PC speakers if I ever use it to watch shows through the TV apps, or when I connect my PS4 to it. Just trying to open up more options.

Once you choose Optical Out for the audio, your only options for the signal are Auto, PCM, or Passthrough. None of which did anything.

My story with monitors, ever since I decided to drop triple-screen, is turning into a living nightmare.

First try in late november, a 34” AOC I had to substitute for its defective panel, followed by a second one which I decided to return alltogether due to overall sub-par image quality.
Two days ago the Gigabyte G34WQC comes in.
Assembled on my desk last night it finds me finally satisfied out of the box with color quality, uniformity and screen clarity.

Only to notice, a minute later, a dark spec of who the hell knows what, stuck between the front panel and the matrix behind, halfway to the right.
Nope, no dead or unresponsive pixels. Simply a particle of something that shouldn’t be there, slipped through during assembly and quality control, or simply as a result of poor handling. Impossible to ignore.

Pretty damn effin frustrated at this point. Three months and still playing the mothereffin monitor lottery, while it’s actually the goddamn lottery playing and screwing with me

If you wanted a 27 inch 1440p panel i would have recommended this Eizo

In the 32 inch department maybe consider an LG UltraFine 32EP950 OLED monitor
They are for photography so QC may be good. The price will be GOOD too.
At least less chances to be screwed at lottery with this one.

IMHO native resolution is better than dropping to 1080. As everyone has pointed out it's just a series of compromises you have to make to get you to where you want to be. Don't need to do it now of course because I could afford the Ferrari GPU so I bought it.

Unfortunately badsykes you want own a Ferrari but you only have the budget for a push bike. Sadly it's not going to happen. Work out your budget then get the best bang for buck you can afford and buy it.
Actually it's 8 bit + FRC. I have it, actually sold my LG GN27950 (4k 144fps), and I'd take the Acer over it any day. I much prefer 32" WQHD over 27" 4k, 27" is just too small, and there is no perceivable difference in pixels, and the Acer is way easier to drive at a higher refresh rate. However I am considering returning the GP, and going with the GX just for the even higher refresh rate. Not sure it's worth $100 though.
