Default Classic Commandos in the making...

I can't wait for the return of Commandos. My all time favorite WW2 game

Kalypso Media have bought up the rights to the classic Commandos series and the other Pyro Studio titles, like Praetorians and Imperial Glory.

Kalypso Media are currently looking into development studios to pair up with that can confidently bring new life to the Commandos series.

Kinda happy to see the franchise might be coming back, but not sure about the buyers.

Would love for Mimimi Productions to get the franchise, they would totally nail a sequel.

commandos 2 is one of the best games ever

I loved Commandos 2 and 3. Hope these make improvements on that formula!

Seeing this makes me want to try and fire up Behind Enemy Lines. All such great games (minus strike force), always loved the art and detail put into each map.

Off topic but 1024x768 looks so ridiculously tiny on current displays .

with games like Shadow Tactics or Seven: The Days Long Gone around i'm not sure if they could pull off a great game like they did in the past. Of course there's still hope, right?

Commandos 2 getting a remaster which is coming in January. Also on consoles.

A closed beta for players who preordered the games on the Kalypso Store will kick off on December 13, featuring an updated tutorial, the HD overhaul and both the campaign missions and the skirmish maps.
