Default Just got done shooting off some fireworks

Aside from a few 'mishaps' nothing bad happened. Finished with a few 500gram fireworks. The tulsa riverfront fireworks show is still going off, i can hear it, sounds like a warzone out there.
All in all it was fun, my grandpa wasnt feeling up to taking pictures this year so no
it was great! I had a blast. Happy birthday America.

Cool

I was able to take my stash of fireworks over to my sister's friend's house to shoot them off. They had a bunch of fireworks they bought too. It was fun and we made a ton of noise When it was lighter out we were blowing up 2-liter bottles and whatnot with dry-ice. We got pretty creative. The explosions were huge and sent debris all over the place. They were super-loud too!

All in all a great time!

well.. it turns out a few trees didnt like all the shower of sparks, we have to pull down two limbs today that were burnt, our yard is covered in burn marks, i guess that one firework (500gram) that exploded was worse than i thought. i raked the yard and burned all the remains, nice big blaze that was interrupted by a large eplosion that destroyed the entire pile and sent burning fireworks all over my and my neighbors yard, lucky my water hose managed to reach all of the major flame-ups

I'll be talking to the people that sold us the firework, defective = teh noes, now i have to find that damn burn cream...knew i shouldnt wear sandals while burning stuff... after i threw the remaining debris in the NEW pile i tossed the rest of my little water dynamite on the pile, lol. it made a lot of noise, but nothing near what happened earlier.

all in all i had a good 4th

We had bought around $300 worth of fireworks this year, when it was still light out my friend's and I went to the store and bought some diet coke and mentos and a carton of eggs just to goof around and kill time till it got darker.

The coke and mentos thing didn't work out as well as I had hoped, I had to make a make-shift tube type thing for the mentos to drop in the coke but as soon as one fell in the whole thing exploded and the rest just shot up 10 or so feet in the air, kind of a disapointment. I had bought some more and we tried putting some in and sealing the lid but the reaction is just too fast.

The egg carton was fun though, we boiled all the eggs, put them back in the carton, cut a little hole at the top of each egg and stuffed a firecracker in each one. Then we got a long fuse and tried are best to tie them all together so that they would all blow up at the same time. It was cool but some went off before the rest, but oh well.

After it got dark we were launching mortors and just blowing stuff up. It was fun, though we quit after the Butte's firework show ended around 10:30 or so.

Still have some left overs, but I don't know if I'll do anything with them now.. maybe chuck them in the pond or something.

Figured I would bump this thread instead of creating a new one. Here's a video I put together of the 2-liter bottle explosions. I wasn't the one with the digicam so I had to wait a bit to get my hands on the videos.

Keep in mind the audio capture on the camera does not do these explosions justice. They were SUPER LOUD!!! Enjoy
