![]() Well I don't think I will be getting back to the top 20 anytime soon though.

I just got above the blue bar, and am now 50th. My goal is to get high enough that when telework ends and I can't babysit my machine, that I never end up on the 2nd page again. I'll probably still fold on weekends, and if I get really obsessive I'll flip the switch when I get home from work for the three hours of dealing with wife/kids before I use it to play gamezzz. |

![]() Just broke the 1M PPD 24 hour average barrier. I don't think I can sustain it, but feels good. New color looks good on me, but gold looks good too. |

![]() You might not be far off soon. I got two 16435 WUs in a row - each crashed at about 72% complete, after 3.5 hours. And foldingforum.org didn't pay their hosting bills, it looks like. Site says "Account suspended." |

![]() Something must be wrong with your GPU. My V64 runs that unit just fine.

![]() Whenever I check on the WU at https://apps.foldingathome.org/wu I'm hardly ever the only one to return a Faulty 2 code. The first of today: https://apps.foldingathome.org/wu#pr...clone=4&gen=17 Second of today (I'm the only one who returned anything): https://apps.foldingathome.org/wu#pr...clone=3&gen=21 This project doesn't stress out my GPU like others. I don't think the crashes are due to hardware defect. |

![]() I was checking out each team's average PPD (meaning the average PPD of active users) and Team Rage3D does pretty well with over 300k. Most teams are 180k or less. Except nVidia. They've employed their AI learning machine and it's kicking serious ass @ 500M PPD. 2nd place is raplab - also part of the NVIDIA team at 400M PPD. Basically NVIDIA earns about 10% of all the points awarded. https://folding.extremeoverclocking....hp?s=&t=259918 Their WU return ratio is way down - about 10 - 20k per day between the two "users" or roughly 0.7% of all WUs. |

![]() Installed the ac units yesterday evening I'll be reduced to overnight folding for the summer months as well.

![]() Took us long enough to finally overtake Team EFG. We moved up a rank for the first time since I restarted folding, from 49th to 48th. Next update, Intel will knock us back down to 49th place with their 400M PPD BS. ![]() As for my folding, I'm not sure. I didn't stop in 2003-5 until my CPU fried and I quit folding altogether (or so I thought). Same thing might happen in 2020, but this time it will be my GPU. |

![]() EDIT: That said, are you using a passkey and getting your bonus points? /Edit For my big PC it will hit 1.3M points in a day on its own. If it wasn't for Pr 16435, I'd have posted 400k more points yesterday. Those WUs are destroying me running for three hours and coming up as BAD_WORK_UNIT, usually after a crash that I have to notice. My laptop consistently brought in 400k PPD and ran at 95C for two months. Recently I lowered some settings that brought it down to 85C but sacrificed 150k PPD to do it. Now that I've hit 50M points I will probably shut my laptop off in a couple of weeks and give it a big hug. I do need it for travel and I have lots of travel coming up in a few months. It's sitting on top of a high flow air filter but I'm sure it's still getting dust. Then I have my Linux laptop with a Centrino CPU. It gets about 900 PPD. ![]() ![]() Last edited by Crawdaddy79 : May 30, 2020 at 10:35 AM. |

![]() Go here: https://apps.foldingathome.org/getpasskey Get email. Input string of characters twice into Advanced Control > Configure > Identity. You get bonus points the quicker you return a good WU. Doing this multiplied my points by about 8x. |

![]() Me, firing everything back up with new hardware: "Ha! I'm coming for you...{scrolls up list and sees overall points totals}" "Uhhh...Never mind..."

![]() I found out on this forum as well, but I'd only been folding for a week or so. I've been watching your stats since, expecting to see a huge jump in points. You've barely folded? What gives? ![]() Quote:
![]() Had to go to work on site this morning. Left the house at 7:20 and had a crash at 8:04. Didn't get home until 5. My average dropped 80k today. This one and two others in the last week happened at the "cleaning up" phase of finishing a work unit. Luckily I still get the points for those, and mostly the other WU being worked on recovers. In a strange 'makes sense to me but probably not anyone else' move, I uninstalled the work folder from my SSD and reinstalled onto my platter drive. Crossing my fingers for more stability. This **** is driving me nuts. ALSO: I hereby give Jima13 an enthusiastic e-High Five for reaching an average 5.5M points per day. I probably don't want to know how you're doing it, but it's carrying the team nicely. ![]() |

![]() Anybody getting a bunch of 13409 WUs? These things are bringing my average way down. It takes about 1.25 hours and nets maybe 18k points, and PPD drops from 1.2M to 225k. Looking at my log I got six of these overnight. I might have to select other research paths until this project is over. With this project, my GPU stays at about 65W when I'm used to 205 - 220W. |

![]() ^Similar stories are happening at the Folding Forum. Hopefully next batch will be better optimized for heavier GPUs... and we can finish these in like 12 minutes. At some point we hit 500k average PPD. Again, most teams have 180k (ish). Captured this just now. I missed the big capture earlier. ![]() |

![]() This Project 13409 wreak havok on my Fury X they are more likely to fail than complete. I'm running the latest 20.5.1 driver. The FAH client fails and restarts but actually seems to be causing Wattman to fail. It's not to unusual to waking up in the morning to 3 instances of Radeon Software showing. 2 dead and disappear once hovered indicating crashes over the remaining one usually is frozen and has to be killed by using the Task Manager. Once it re-spawns it's interact-able once more. I already tried a clean install not sure if going back to the 20.4.2 will help here or not.

For this project I've had a single faulty return, and I think it was a legit bad work unit. I've only had two non-13409 WUs in the last 24 hours. It's tanking my points but at least there's no crashes. To add to that, none of my CPU WUs seem to be crediting since 12 hours ago, despite my logs saying otherwise. |

![]() I don’t recall the specific WUs involved, but there are some where I’m seeing an estimated 850k PPD and others around 600-650k. This is on a 1660 Super.
