Default Valve overhauled our Steam Libraries.

I don't like it right now, but I think it will grow on me.

I miss the "Recent" and "Installed" options in the Library drop-down. This can still be done, you just have to find the unnamed monochrome icons that represent those things and click them. The advantage to this is now you can filter out uninstalled games from recent.

What do you guys think?

Been in the beta of this for a couple weeks I think. It's fine. The filter is pretty powerful.

Been using the beta for a while since it was unavoidable and inevitable update. Figured might as well get used to it.

You can change the cover images to use animated pngs which seems coo been poking around the reddits and the like looking for spiffy animated cover images.

I was the same at first, trying to find those options. Once I found them, I'm starting to like it better than the old one.

I already have my games sorted in custom categories (Installed, Completed, Semi-Completed) so no real change with my library. Just a different look.

No option to sort games by rating on their own built-in review system? That would be more useful to me than the opinion of 'professional' critics

Honestly, I could have done without the change. I'm sure I'll get used to it, but I didn't have a problem with the previous layout. The new one seems super busy to me.

My Linux client got updated today... not sure I like it.

[EDIT]
Don't like it. I don't see where "dynamic collection" will let me filter by OS support... guess Valve lost interest in Linux

I'm not like this new look at all. Too huge and console like. Too busy.

They should give us the option to change back if we'd like.

I don't mind it and I'm somewhat addicted to these animated pngs.

I'm hoping that Steam will start tracking (or open up the ability to add scripts) like GOG Galaxy so we can get more out of our non-Steam games in that library.

It''s fine.

I didn't really feel like it needed a change, but the change didn't **** everything up, so that's a plus.

Early days and I'm sure it will evolve but the only thing I'd obviously change is remove the "What's new" bar at the top of my library.

Yes, not sure what exact criteria applies though. The ones I've noticed were around 6 & 9% of people had got them.

Don't really care for it, but no big deal. Just feels like Valve trying to force big picture on us.
