Default Task Force Elite inspired by Novalogic games

From Redjake studios. Im on the alpha and after having waited over 10 years for the followup to Novalogic's Joint Ops that is now owned by THQ Nordic who seems to be sitting on the IP as well, Im anxious to see how it turns out but the vids look good:

Really miss the gameplay of these older games. In some ways so much superior to any shooters out there today.

havn't played a shooter like this in a LONG time. I think I have that one boxed away somewhere, or something like it from novalogic. best shooter moment tho was a sniper in a ghillie suit hiding in tall grass while the enemy approached my pos and passed on by. scared as hell they'ld find me

The alpha test went pretty well. Very few bugs considering and now the game is out on steam early access this December:

Quote:
Tip of the Spear: Task Force Elite is coming to Steam Early Access on December 18, 2020. This game, designed by indie developer Red Jake Studios, is inspired by the “golden age” of FPS games from the ’90s and 2000s. The studio’s love for “old school” shooters heavily influences their design and development process as evident by the 100% boots on the ground game design.

Tip of the Spear: Elite Task Force is an infantry-only, tactical FPS featuring up to 50 players in classic multiplayer modes like Team Deathmatch and Capture the Flag. While inspired by the games of yesteryear, the game looks very modern thanks to the graphical powers of the Unreal Engine. Players can choose between four distinct classes: Assault, Medic, Sniper, Gunner. There are also designated bases to prevent random spawns during gameplay, a critical feature missing from a lot of today’s AAA FPS titles.

There will be five playable maps during its Early Access launch. Five more maps are in development that’ll be delivered to Early Access participants for free. Battles will take place over 10 square miles in size (16 square kilometers) throughout close-quarters urban environments and mountainous ridges. There’s also planned support for new game modes, skin customization, a map editor, clan support, and mods with Steam Workshop.

Tip of the Spear: Task Force Elite is a multiplayer first-person shooter coming to Early Access on Steam on December 18th with a full release expected next year. They say this draws inspiration from classic titles from the genre from the late 1990s and the early aughts (and we draw inspiration from the title to imitate Bill Paxton from Edge of Tomorrow: "Tip of the spear. Edge of the knife. Crack of my ass!")
