They're "supporting" it by not paying their cashier's $15 (outsourcing to robots) and making a token gesture of support with an optional donation. So they're not at all supporting it and are making a jab (probably unintentionally) at the movement and their cashiers.

Yea that's the joke. The fast food is using more automation and replacing workers. By the time that 15 min wage actually passes the store will have one worker who just repairs the machines. So it's ironic that there is a "donate to fight for the 15" from a machine thats taking someone elses job.
