Isn't the U.S. it's largest market though? They are shooting themselves in the foot forcing it to be on CBS streaming (which nobody has and from what I've heard you can't even watch past episodes of shows on it).

Michelle Yeoh is the first confirmed cast member. Don't know her role yet.

Not surprising as production has been very slow. I will not subscribe to watch this.

The main actor is already in the walking dead, so they need to work around that or wait till she dies. Stupid casting move.

Of course when it comes out, Canadians get screwed. Want to stream it, throw money at Bell for CraveTV...

I'm not sure what's more upsetting, CBS jerking it around so it possibly will never see the light of day, CBS trying to set it up to fail hard if it comes out, or that it's going to be locked to CraveTV...

The other day I was trying to watch a movie with a friend over Skype. We were going to watch it together, streaming at the same time. She lives outside the US, and I discovered that that particular movie wasn't available at this time over Netflix or even Youtube. (Don't know other places besides those, except for the less-than-legal ways...)

I said, "nope, I don't have access." She said, "umm...I can just give you the link I'm using..." Ha ha, nope.

Here in the US we have to pay CBS to stream it online, cost $9.99 (~$14 CAD) per month.

I have been binge watching Star Trek Voyager. It really makes me wish they would have made this new series take place after Voyager. I think there are so many things they left open that they can still deal with, for example The Borg and the civil war that is happening with in them.

Seriously? Is that all CBS streaming, or particularly for that show? Either way, no way I'm doing it. I've got Dish, I've got Netflix, I've got Amazon. Paying another $10/month for access to *1* show isn't something I'm likely to do unless it's utterly awesome... like American Gods will be with Starz (and I'm sure there are other shows I'll watching during that time.

The entire way Star Trek went out was really bullshit. Ok, Enterprise didn't do that well (even though the later seasons were pretty good), so obviously it means the entire backstory has to be abandoned. We get stupid reboot wannabe Star Wars movies. Now we get another retro show.

I mean, maybe, make a show in the time period that had the largest audience. That would actually make sense, right? So let's not do it.

That being said, I hope the show is good, but I'm not holding my breath. Hopefully it's actually Star Trek and not JJ Trek which can burn in hell.

I can't stand all these Kirk era reboots and prequels. Gimme Captain Picard Enterprise or post era, dammit.

The downhill started with "Enterprise" when they decided to **** up the timeline and make it "less trekky" to appeal to a wider audience.

Even though they were hated for Enterprise, Branna Braga/Rick Berman need to come back with a new series post Enterprise/DS9/Voyager. They and the original writers were the ones that made those series great.

And if you're concerned about whether or not that penis is strong enough to be load bearing for such a journey, you forget that what fills all of those engorged crevices is freedom.

Even though they were hated for Enterprise, Branna Braga/Rick Berman need to come back with a new series post Enterprise/DS9/Voyager. They and the original writers were the ones that made those series great.
Unfortunately Voyager kindof ruins any possibility of doing a series in the future.

Honestly I thought Voyager sucked overall, so not surprising that it ruined the whole ip.
