Question Chipset Drivers

I currently own the Soyo PI865PE Plus Dragon 2 Motherboard, Should I be using the Soyo Chipset drivers, or Use the Chipset drivers from Intel because it has an intel chipset?

You will be able to use either, because they'll be the same. The Intel one will probably just be a different (probably newer) version.

I always prefer to use the newer drivers usually from the chipset maker themselves.

Apparently the Drivers from Intel have a version # of 5.0.1012 and the drivers from Soyo have the Version # of 5.0.1015 so it appears that Soyo has the newest drivers... Odd but apparently true.

or it may be that soyo is using drivers that aren't certified (takes a little time to do that) or a beta that intel feels isn't entirely stable.

this is one of those situations where there's almost no possible way that the mobo vendor knows more about the chipset and the drivers than the people who made them.

check other mobo brands, are they using that version? if so, it's probably safe, otherwise i'd stay away from it.
