Multi-GPU Graphics Technology Modding Radeon into FirePro

I was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of some resources on modding Radeons into FirePros.

Currently what I've been able to find is that the 4000 series, more specifically the 1GB 4870 is the best bet for doing this,
as it is almost exactly the same hardware as the FirePro V8700.

Ideally I'd like to run 2 Radeons as FirePros in Crossfire.
Possibly even 2 dual GPU Radeons if it can be done?

Soft/Driver modding would be preferred, as it would let me use the cards as either, depending on the application.
However, I'm not apposed to bios flashing, or a little hardware modification (soldering, ect.) if that's what it will take.

It's been a long time since I've used this form, been out of the PC building game for a while. I appreciate any assistance in advance

FYI This is the CAD rig I'm building....

CPU:AMD FX-8150 Eight Core 3.60GHz w/ Cooler Master H520
Overclocked up to 4.0Ghz
MOBO:ASUS Crosshair V motherboard
RAM:4x Corsair Vengeance 4GB PC-150000 (1866Mhz) (16GB)
Overclocked up to 2000Mhz
SSD:OCZ Vertex Plus 2.5" Solid State Drive - 120GB
PSU:Thermaltake TPX-775M Toughpower XT 775W
Case:Thermaltake A60
Graphics:To Be Determined
OS:Win7/Unbuntu

Coming soon...
Liquid Cooling: CPU will be bumped up to 4.8Ghz
HDD: Probably 2 WD Black Series 7200rpm, just for additional storage.
