This is great news and it's interesting to see that the dev has changed. Hopefully the controls will improve. in AOE3 they were years behind the likes of C&C...

As much as I want this game I still might not buy it if it's a Windows store exclusive. Stop trying to shove that **** down my throat.

Steam or it didn't happen. I can wait.

I love CoH and I love AoE/M. I wonder where they'll take AoE4. AoE1/2/3 were all set in different ages, but I prefer the classical Roman/Greek setting. Wololo mother****ers.

I guess there is a chance it will come to Steam since MS have talked about bringing games across and they still sell AoE on there. It would be nice to see it come out day 1 on steam, it would sell well. I would still expect windows store first though.

Great news! Love these games. It's been far too long since I've played a decent RTS.

I wonder what time period this will be based in? I'd die if it was stone age to modern era. They better not mess this up

Yeah, I hope it goes to modern at least. Was playing some Rise Of Nations HD a while back, and messed around and let the computer get to modern while I was still rocking the first level that had tanks. Didn't end well for me when it started raining nukes.

Age of Empires was my first ever PC game. This series holds a special place in my heart. They better not give us another iteration of age of empires online.

wololo!

finally, the visual loos like a modernized aoe 3... between aoe 4 and homeworld 3, rts is having another chance at resurgence. And with both aoe 4 and flight sim 2020, microsoft may actually live up to their old promise at supporting pc gaming.

Loved the first 2 AOE games, third not so much.

I've since moved on to the ANNO and Settlers series. Gonna be hard to replace them for me, still the best strategy games around.

AOE3 was the first polygonal RTS game that didn't look like crap. AOE4 predictably looks great too.

Crisp & clear Age of Mythology > washed out and busy Age of Empires 3.
