Nvidia and AMD have been using a hardware check for a while now. You input the initial promo code/voucher and the site/client checks that your gpu matches the one linked to the promo then usually spits out steam/uplay/origin codes for the individual games.

It's asking me to log in to Steam through Nvidia and apparently I don't remember my password for Steam so I can't even get past that point.
I remember doing this for a game I supposedly got with my video cards but in the end the code didn't work but a Rage3D member ended up giving me a code for the game.

I thank you for the code jcarno but it appears I will not be able to use it so please pass it along or I could if you want.

See above. jcarno needs to put in the inital code and it spits out a steam code. It's probably pissing itself because your hardware doesn't match the card type the promo was for.

Then again if it's asking you to sign into steam from the geforce experience client then it might oauth into your steam account and add the game automatically.

AMD's current method is better because they at least still spit out steam codes after the initial promo code gets poked in.

+ (in addition to requiring the same type/ series card), these codes are region locked. A VPN is required to activate if both users are not from the same region.

I got the code, but it stated it was no longer valid. Fuku2, I believe it is tied to your Nvidia account now, and you'll want to figure out your Steam password so you can put it on your Steam account.

Got though everything but in the end it wants me to log into steam in the internet browser and Steam takes objection saying new device and I input special verification code and.....circles.
