Default Games Finished January 2020

Thought about doing this series to kind of assist people and motivate them to finish their backlogs. As many have seen, I have completed a lot of games last year and still managed to do my hobbies, take care of family, career going strong and travel a lot.

Not every month someone will be finishing a lot, as there are months where a person just can't finish anything. Then you got that streak going in another month.

Also, if you plan to replay the game, it is fine but don't repeat it at a later month as first completion is what counts.

Another thing is the criteria of what is considered completed in unclear games such as team based multiplayer games; I would say set a target for that. E.g. I considered Overwatch completed when I reached level 100. Or when I finished story mode (which was a long movie sequence) in Guilty Gear Xrd Revelator. You decide what you consider is completed as long as it is reasonable to a certain extend and correlate-able to a single player experience.

DLC completed at a separate time from the main game and has enough content (+1 hour) can be counted as a separate completion.

Console completions can be accepted as long as the main focus is still PC overall.

Completed Games:
Halo Reach

Sorry all for the delay (1 Week!). My life has been crazy hectic!

Still, the show must go on!

So we did great in 2019 and hopefully we can do as well in 2020, if not better!

From my end, my completions might end up lacking but I will be completing a lot larger games than previous years. Atleast, that is how I am expecting it to go.

For first month, I only finished Halo Reach. Though I played a lot of Monster Hunter Iceborne, Octopath Traveler and RDR2. So will see how I will fare by end of February.

Good luck to all and I will try to get back on track to update every start of the month.

Nine for Jan;

Ape Out (Not my kind of game but I got it free from Epic and it wasn't too bad though the later levels were more frustration than fun),
Agent A: A Puzzle in Disguise,
Untitled Goose Game (very cute),
Batman Enemy Within,
Forgotton Anne,
Arise A Simple Story (The last two good looking but not great games ),
Flower,
Attack of the Earthlings,
DCS M2000C (Two campaigns under my belt).

Not a bad start.

Hooray, new year, new lists!

I really enjoyed finishing more games in 2019. I'm going to pick my 2020 games a little more carefully, I think, and spend some more time with the same games. I've also started tracking (approximately) how many hours I spend with the games I play before I see the ending credits.

For January, my count starts a little slow: just the one game. The Talos Principle took longer than I expected (~16 hours). Also, I've started playing Assassin's Creed: Odyssey, which is a very large game, so the February count might be a little low too.

I'm a zero in January. I finished Trine 4 a couple of days late. So I'll have at least one for Feb.

I had high hopes for this month but can only claim one (1).

Horizon Chase Turbo.

I don't want to finish the official campaign because in the last four or five areas it gets real stupid with the cars in front of you actively blocking you. Becomes more frustrating than fun - I'm calling it at 51% achievements.

5 games.

Control: What a crazy storytelling, that's what I like from Remedy's games. The gameplay is ok. I liked that they included Alan Wake as a part of the lore. I'm waiting for the DLCs to see if they are worth buying.
The Blue Flamingo: It is a shot'em'up. At least that is what it was supposed to be if it were a good game. I bought it because of the aesthetics only, should have read some of the user reviews Avoid it at all costs, very shallow gameplay and content.
Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel: It is a Borderlands game that was way too long, I was almost dropping the game when it finally ended.
Flockers: A Lemmings type of game. It is good enough for people with patience for this type of game, apparently I'm not of them.
Lumino City: Cute puzzle adventure game, everything looks handmade. I wish I could skip some of the animations though.

Excellent game that I wish had co-op by default. I'm waiting for the multiplayer mod to update and become compatible with the games latest updates.

Are you talking about Alan Wake as part of the lore? He is not in the game, or a direct part of it, there are only references of him inside the game. There are multiple reviews that mention it. And a lot of other games as well. It is fun to read the stuff that is in the game.

I forgot about 1 more game.

Need for Speed Payback: It was a fun game to play while it lasted, too bad the leveling up system is so messed up. And apparently I got luck too, because I tried to start the game other day and my save was gone
