Tom is 5 months older than I am. I'm also a 1977 baby. A shock to the system for me. I've lost my athletic abilities 15 years ago.

I get cranky if I have to climb one flight of stairs to my next class.

But FYI I use to run the 400m in 54 seconds at 17yo. Not record level or even close to that, but useful nonetheless. Remember I was a skinny white-guy ectomorph (now with a fat gut in 2022 but in the right path to losing it within 3-4 months) who was never suppose to be a Usain Bolt.

age 44 a baby

i retired from football after 9th grade in about 1974
i was 15 and 6 foot and 155 pounds and played center and defensive end

high school football coach in Ohio wanted to put me on full steroids to pump me up

i said no - one of the best decisions of my life
but i loved playing football

i'm back down to my Navy weight of 165 to 170 and can do 40 miles on the bike
