I have been trying to get ATI's DVD Player to work with Win 2K and it seems nothing will work. My system pases the compatiblity check but crashes Win 2K anytime I open the DVD app. It will usually play about 2 or 3 seconds before the system locks up. I have DMA enabled on the DVD drive, retail Radeon drivers, Win 2K AGP hotfix installed, DX7, latest VIA AGP drivers, 4x AGP enabled.
My system specs:
Asus A7V with T-bird 800, BIOS 1004c
Pioneer DVD 105S
Win 2000 SP1
I dual boot and the ATI DVD player works for Win 98 but not 2K. WinDVD works but I only have the trial version and that works for only 5 minutes. Rrrr!
