Went balls to the wall on this one as well and looks like its fine (X370)...

Installed, dont notice a difference, took quite a while to install though which was surprising. Honestly I'm seeing less boost from my 3700X then when I was using the original BIOS and chipset drivers. I'm not even coming close to 4.4 now, I'm lucky to hit 4.2 but I do admit the wraith cooler doesn't keep it that cool as I topped out at 86c on cinebench and maybe why it doesn't boost as high, also could be cinebench is not a good test for boost as AMD has stated.

Just installed them so too soon to see if their is a difference. Will keep an eye on it.
