This remaster brings back a lot of good memories. Damn fun to play the missions

Visual and animation upgrades are really neat. If only they had found high-res versions of the original cut scenes.

Didn't really notice any animation upgrades, but the sound effects have been redone for sure.

I am enjoying it immensely that I went and did all branches of missions. Completed everything in Tiberium Dawn and plan to do the same with Red Alert. Took me 67 hours to finish CnC1 completely.

It's sort-of one of those "you had to be there" games (though I saw several new to the games have enjoyed this remaster, as what it does, it does extremely well). Since it came out, other RTS such as Total Annihilation and onwards refined and added stuff to the genre; at its core, C&C is kinda simple. It worked, which is why Warcraft was such a huge ripoff of its predecesor Dune 2.

However, I used to take my PC to my friends house for some 1v1 serial cable games, and between this and Doom I really got into multiplayer gaming.

That was 25 years ago. ****ing hell.

Hehe, same here with my brothers. We spent summers play CNC RA1 and Starcraft 1 LANs. Great times...
