Default Apple users: Have you moved your info from Google to iCloud

Being that I use Google services for email, contacts, calender, documents, etc., I'm evaluating if I want to move all my stuff to iCloud. I think I'll hang on to my email address though but forward it to iCloud.

Has anyone made the move?

I kept everything in Google. Moving to iCloud meant that while sharing/syncing information between my Apple devices was dead simple, everything outside of my little Apple device garden is basically stonewalled.

If you only use Apple products, iCloud is a great thing. If you use a mix of everything like I do, iCloud is practically useless.

Given the products you use, it might work for you.

I reside in other ecosystems far more than on my iPhone so it makes no sense for me to do so.

I've moved my contacts and calendar. Contacts is much better, calendar pretty much the same, compared to Google.

Once iCould hits beta stage (sic!) I may consider moving my emails as well.
