Btw my son’s laptop was acting up so I had a choice to get him a dual core Mac Book Air or Mac Book Pro with an Intel i5 and 256 GB HDD for a 1500-1800 or just replace the damn HDD with an SSD for like 70 bucks including a brand new copy of Windows 10 Pro. Guess which I chose.

Err no. I got him a new 240 GB Kingston HDD and then turned on Turbo Boost on his 7th Gen i5. Now it boosts to 3.1 GHz and runs everything just fine. Actually I could have saved 50 bucks on SSD since I had a Samsung lying around but forgot about it.
