My main PC serves as either my actual desktop (Nec 19" CRT), or my HTPC (LG 37" LCD). My Radeon HD4850 connects to my LCD via HDMI cable (DVI-HDMI adapter). Both video and sound travels through the HDMI cable, and works really well whether I'm watching a video, playing a game, or just surfing the web. I also have a wireless keyboard/mouse combo for when on the couch using the LCD. Sound is provided by a Pioneer home theater system.

Sorry I don't have any pics

White walls once again. What's with people?

Tell him to paint that crap black. It's a theater room.

Hmmmmmm... lets see, I came across the image, I see something that is a pretty logical device to protect your equipment with, is in fact missing, or possibly hiding. I state that to let the poster know, because I felt it was the "right" thing to do.
I meant that In a harmless, positive way. Why you feel that's the only thing I could say, why that's important important to me, your implying that in some way my statement was for a negative reason, which I just explained why it is in fact not.

Sorry for the flash, I couldn't get a good pic without one for the life of me. Very temporary setup, I just got the TV last weekend, and I've never had a flat panel in the main living room before, I used to have all my games and crap in the bedroom on a 32in LCD. Having a hard time finding a tall enough stand so I bought that bookcase to use till I see one I like. I reinforced it with extra screws and modded it in order to route all the cables. Gotta be a tall one with all these kids running around leaving handprints on everything. Not too keen on drilling holes in my walls for a mount either. I'm sure I'll see one sooner or later that I like, no rush .

Damn, my Wii sensor bar is off center .

Xbox 360 (non-hdmi)
PS3
(dreamcast isn't connected ATM)
Marantz sr4002
Polk PSW10
speakers from old HTIB (Panasonic SC-HT900)

i've been checking prices on some speakers to put together a decent low budget 7ch setup but for now the HTIB speakers aren't too ****ty

You have a working 40" CRT? Sony and Mitsubishi were the only 2 who produced those from what I understand and they were extremely expensive and hard to produce. Does it still look good?

still looks excellent and yes.. it works

though i did have to have it repaired once.... one day i turned it off and it wouldn't turn back on... it made the same clicking noises it always does when trying to turn it on but the standby light would just flash 6 times every few seconds (known issue with this model)

as far as expensive... it was cheaper than the LCDs and Plasmas that were available at the time with comparable screen size (37" in 16:9)

Altho PQ on the Sony CRT's were awesome, I can only imagine the weight of a 40" version. I had a 32" and that weighed a ton.
