Default Zelda Bonus: Ocarina of Time

Zelda pre-orders get Ocarina of Time, Ura Zelda
The newest issue of Japan's Gaming Bible, Famitsu, has broken the news that gamers who preorder Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda: Tact of the Wind for the GameCube will receive a FREE bonus disc that contains the Nintendo 64 classic, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, as well as the un-released 64DD only add-on sequel, URA Zelda.

We previously followed a story that Nintendo was working on a remake collection for the GC that would contain these games, but as it turns out...They're giving them away FOR FREE; in Japan, at least.

As if all that wasn't enough, the tiny proprietary DVD includes movies of F-Zero and Resident Evil 4, both GameCube exclusives.

Undoubtedly, Nintendo is using this as a way of creating even more hype for The Legend of Zelda: Tact of the Wind, which is due in Japan on December 13th.

Nintendo of America has issued no word as to what it intends for this disc. The Legend of Zelda is due in North America next February sometime, so we'll have more as soon as we learn it.

**UPDATE** - Thanks to neo 2046, we can provide you with a scan of the article, directly from the new issue of Famitsu. As can be seen from the small picture below, it doesn't look like much about the game's graphics are being upgraded, with the exception of, perhaps, some texture smoothing. Keep checking back with GAF, where you know we'll have the first on any updates!

Holy crap, I REALLY hope they do that in the US too...

Regardless of whether you like the graphics on the new Zelda that makes it worth buying. Ura Zelda?

That's insane...

That's really cool that Nintendo has worked out a good N64 emulation routine for the Gamecube, not that it surprises me or anything with how much more powerful it is...

URA zelda was the OOT addon that was being made for the 64DD that never got released.

Ura Zelda is a Zelda expansion that was made for the 64DD but never released. 3 Zelda games for the price of one, 2 you've never played before, plus footage of RE4 and Fzero.

Sweet as hell.

Man that is a hell of a lot of content, i remember zelda taking me a good month of the christmas holidays! Especially good for people who never played the game cause even though the graphics show their age, they are still great and so is the gameplay, after all it did get game of the year 1998! Hope this gets released in UK, maybe even something like this for metroid with the inclusion of the snes classic would be system sellers aswell? I would think it will have some AA put in with some smoother textures a bit like the resi 2,3 and veronica that has done to it, at least ill be bale to play it on the cube insteading of having to search for my 64 in the attick!

Def picking that up if its true, imagine if they made the old OOT into cell shaded graphics? Or even the GC tech demo graphics!?

If they gave OoT the graphics of the tech demo, it'd be better than the new Zelda, IMO. And not just because the graphics.

Yep. Thats the most convincing argument for buying the new Zelda game for people like myself who just dont like the Cell Shading fad that everyones jumping on.

Id love another shot at cracking Ocarina of Time, and the unreleased 64DD game would be awesome to play as well.
If this bundle gets to the US, Ill definitely buy the new Zelda.
