What I don't get is why Sony always makes so complex casing designs. That is a pain to manufacture.

I'd like to see that cooling in action.

Not just that, it's impossible to stack too, unless you put it at the top

I like the shape, but it's abit on the large side.

I'll get one when it's easily bought, and considering it's not out till april 2007 or later, it looks like late next year then

Remember when the Xbox got slammed for being huge and heavy. Everyone was screaming how it was a brick. Suddenly, when the PS3 is this hulking, huge, heavy mass it's all "ok".

Put an Xbox next to PS3 and then tell me wich looks better. Not only was Xbox huge, but it also was shitty looking. Not to mention how bad X360 is gonna look in your living room with HD-DVD addon.

X360>PS3 (could be the other way around depending on what else equipment you have)

The bigger complaint was the weight and size. Not how pleasing it was to the eye.

Putting a Xbox next to a PS3 and I would tell you the Xbox looks better...by a slim margin. The PS3 looks completely stupid but I know your opinion probably trumps mine because.....you'r you???

What is that supposed to mean? I don't have any problems that you like Xbox better than PS3. It is a matter of "taste" and I'd say there are more people who likes PS3 over Xbox and X360 over PS3. Just tried to explain you why there isn't so much people bashing the size of that thing.

Renocide the thing people complained about more then anything wasn't the size of the xbox. It was the size of the 1st generation controller, that was why Microsoft change out the controller for the smaller asian controller.

Though I felt the case was large and clunky looking, well actually it was ugly. Do I think the PS3 is ugly? yup it's ugly too. Though as for the case, I don't care much since I don't play the case at all.

Well you could stack on the 360 as long as whatever you had to put on it was smaller the the 360 unit itself. Not sure you would want to though, maybe just the HD player. Any stereo of stand alone dvd equipment would be to big anyways, wouldn't look right. The PS3 has a curved top it looks like so there is no possible way you can stack anything on it.

Again, not sure why you'd want to stack on a console anyways. Especially with these space heaters.

btw, ps3 is really fugly now that I see all 3 together. Personally I think MS did great this round with there design.

I hate to say it, but I thought the exact opposite. The board looks much higher quality and more elegant than the 360's. The layout definitely seems better thought out. Sony is really good at this stuff.

The 360 motherboard isn't "cheap". It's just relatively inexpensive compared to the PS3's. The PS3's motherboard has far more expensive power circuitry (same stuff you see on highend video cards).
