This is how to install Fury MAXX in Win2k.
Fury MAXX under Windows 2000?
According to a scoop posted from ATI-News.de the ATI Rage Fury MAXX can works also with the Microsoft Windows 2000 operating system but unfortunately using only as a single chip Rage Fury (this card is powered by two Rage 128 Pro chips).
Follow closely these steps published on Reactor Critical website to proceed to the installing:
- Download this Rage128 Pro Win2K driver:
- Deactivate the second chip.
- Install the driver.
- After reboot, install the monitor.
- Rage Fury MAXX has just become a usual videocard. Frankly speaking, thank the God, that it at least works, and not in 640*480 at 16 colors.

i just tried the download link and the file server for that site seems to be down.
you can try one of the OTHER Rage128PRO Win2k drivers, but I have no idea if that will work considering I donot own a Fury Maxx myself, I'm just trying to help :-).
You can find a list of Fury Maxx Win2k drivers available from RAGE3D itself, or look around the web and try and track that specific driver down. The file / revision is:
remeber, this is listed as a Rage 128Pro driver, NOT a Fury Maxx driver.
If anyone has this file, please post here. If I can, I would be happy to make this file available for free download from my own FTP server.
