12 displays (2x eyefinity 6 or eyefinity 12)

Hello.

I'm looking for solution to have 12 displays/monitors in one PC (desktop only).

I want to ask if is it possible to put two e.g. Sapphire HD 5870 eyefinity6 cards into PC to have 12 monitors output? I don't need to crossfire them or have one big monitor group...

I just need to have 12 working monitors to display some graphs in 2D ...

Has somebody tried it?

All I've found is some new Powercolor HD 5970 which they do not sell to regular customers... So I don't know where to buy it, the price nor any requirements...

Yes you can use 2x Eyefinity 6 cards in none Crossfire, I haven't tried it myself though since I only have 6 monitors and one Eyefinity 6.

I was wondering if you got the 12 monitors to work out. I'm trying to build a 18 monitor wall. I'm looking at my options here. What route did you take?

There are examples of eyefinity 24 setups , with 4 cards used obviously.
AMD used several of these setup for demonstration purposes when they launched the technology at various events. If you search for any event report of the 5850 Launch on the USS Hornet you can see 24 display running HAWX

Recently, Matrox has been promoting a 16 display card and Shuttle independantly has been promoting the abililty of their SFFs to drive 16 displays using this product.

It wasn't 24 displays running Hawx it was running the Linux version of X-Plane. I should know since I was there. They had Eyefinity 6's running Hawx and Dirt 2.
