Period." HardOCP "If you are on a budget and want a new video card, and require the latest features and technology support with a very enjoyable gameplay experience, the Radeon HD 5700 series should be on your short list." EliteBastards "In short then, if you're looking for a new graphics board to usher you into the DirectX 11 era without either overly skimping on performance or breaking the bank, then either of these offerings, and in particular Sapphire's Radeon HD 5770, would be very much worthy of your consideration." Guru3D "The bottom line is really simple: With the Radeon series 5700 products, and in specific the 5770 -- ATI brings an intensely feature rich product to the market that offers plenty of performance for current and modern games. It has good cooling and offers less noise compared to a 4850. So if you are in the mid-range market right now seeking a new graphics card, we can recommend it wholeheartedly." ![]() All I can Say is "WOW". The 5770 is not great(by itself), but crossfire it and ..wow! Somehow it's scaling is even better than the 4870's. The 5770 XF is "usually" within about 5% of a 5870 throughout most all the tests. And even sometimes beating it! I was mostly looking at the ComputerBase review. Riddick AODA - 2560x1600 8xAA/16xAF: 5770 - 14.8 FPS 5770 XF - 35.7 FPS 141% Crossfire increase! What?!?!?!? ![]() Anno 1440 - 2560x1600 8xAA/16xAF: 5770 - 23.2 FPS 5870 - 27.0 FPS 5770 XF - 45.6 FPS 69% increase over a 5870! ..and yet another 141% increase over a single 5770 ![]()

![]() Again, the 5770 IS great ... it's 40% faster than 4770, DX11, Eyefinity, lower power consumption = WIN. |

![]() Don't like it, it's slower than the 4870 which is currently cheaper. A new gen at said price point should be faster. On the plus side, performance/watt is really amazing. |

![]() Agree ... 5850 is the bet if you wanna upgrade..From 159 to 269 you get very big performance boost.

![]() no only if either Asus extended their warranty to Lifetime+ like XFX or if XFX had such a tool/ability I'd actually consider downgrading from my 4890 XFX to the 5770

![]() I think it should be faste than the 4850, which it is, and it nips right at the heels of the 4870. Plus the 4870 supply is drying up fast, so very shortly it will be the default choice in that price range. |

![]() HD 4870 debuted at $299. With the HD 5770 debuting at $159, just over half the 4870's initial MSRP, I'm not sure your comparison makes a lot of sense. |

![]() Yeah, it's no so much that the 57xx series are overpriced, it's just that the unusually early price cuts on the 48xx series make those cards incredibly good deals right now. I remember right after the 4850 launched the slower 3870's were still at a higher retail price for over a month. If the 3870 had dropped to 100USD before the 4850 was around people would have said the same thing about 3870x2 vs 4850.

My 5770 should be here tomorrow, and when the prices come down, I will get another one to crossfire. Time to retire my 4830. ![]()
