Yay I got my new computer stuff!

AMD AthlonXP 1800+
512MB Infineon 2-2-2 PC2100 (133/266) RAM (Can run @ 150/300 2-3-2)

I hope this damn Volcano6 CU (damnit somehow I ordered the regular instead of the +) will be able to cool it

. At least I picked up some arctic silver

Can't install all this though till I get my 350W power supply...I have a 250 right now and I don't believe that will be able to support this system.

the 250 should run it fine presuming you're not using some attrocious power eater like a v5

Oh yeah...forgot it's a palomino. doh. yeah all i have is a radeon 64DDR which uses like...no power. One HD, one dvd rom drive..one case fan...well okay I'll give it a shot tommorow then!

Edit: Sorry for the ignorance...never built a K7 based system before...used em..but all of those had 300+ Watt power supplies in em. Oh well....I'm sure the 350 will come in use when I apply massive cooling or something like that

I didn't win an Athlon XP at the tour that came to Phoenix, so i'm gonna go buy one soon. Either that or a 1900+, but I think I'll save some bucks and go with the 1800 since I'm overclocking anyway.

Man, when you see those little "pits" between the L1 bridges in person....you realize just how small they really are. They are absolutely tiny.

Of course I'd go with DDR RAM, as many of my recent comptuers were DDR. Whoa, it costs $3 for at least a 10% performance increase.

Tried running it with the 250W power supply. 'twas a nogo. I checked the CPU, RAM, and the mobo. They all seemed to be fine. There is a possibility that the mobo is screwed up...but I doubt it. Everything's been tested to work though...so Ii'm gonna assume it's the power supply. Oh well I get my 350 tommorow anyway.
