Default new BMW 2 series gran coupe....

Did BMW even design this thing? Looks like a Corolla/Infiniti/Acura or a Kia....

https://www.autoblog.com/2019/10/15/...ed-228i-m235i/

And the interior is....just a scaled-to-fit version of the same interior in all their new cars...…

Might want to add to the title "Gran Coupe". But yes, I've haven't been a fan of the their "Gran Coupe" versions of any of their lines.

Even still it looks so generic and honestly kinda cheap for a BMW...…

And not cheap as in "its a cheaper BMW", but cheap as in "hey look a Corolla!"

I'd much rather have the new 1 series hatchback by far than this...…
that at least looks like a BMW (looks like a car version of the X1)

Not really.

Im not liking the back ends of these new look bmws. The tail lights remind me of a civic or an accord for sure.

They start at $35k, for a BMW that's kinda cheap. The 3 series starts at $40k, the 4 series at $45k. I can only imagine what kind of pricing you could haggle to, or get on special.

35k is still a lot for a ton of people. Civics start at like 20k.

I didn't say "it's meant to compete with the Civic," I said "KINDA" cheap. $35k for a car is not a ridiculously high price nowadays, and you'd get a lot more in a base 2 series than you would a Civic. A Kia Stinger, which this car would compete with, starts at $33k.

I agree with Elysian. While $35k is a lot of money to me, sadly...it's not expensive "for a car" these days. Relatively speaking. It's certainly not expensive for a BMW.

I have mixed feelings about this BMW Gran Coupe. While it looks like every other BMW, the overall dimensions are a bit odd and dont look proportional.

The 4 Series Grand Coupe looks better. IMO, the issue with the 2-Series Grand Coupe is that it sort of goes against what everyone viewed the 2-Series as from BMW.

The problem I see with the 2 series gran coupe is it's FWD (it's based on the X1 after all), while the regular 2 series is RWD. I feel like this doesn't fit any of the numbered BMW's. It's certainly not going to drive anything like a 2 series. The price is the least of its issues, frankly.
