Default Kerbal Space Program 2

Kerbal Space Program 2 is the sequel to the acclaimed space flight simulation game Kerbal Space Program from Star Theory and Private Division.

With the original Kerbal Space Program having become one of the most beloved games of all time and now bigger than ever, Kerbal Space Program 2 has been fully redesigned from the ground up to meet the demands of modern and next-generation space exploration, all while maintaining the monumental foundations of the first game. Build a space program, construct powerful spacecraft, design resource-gathering colonies, and much more to uncover the secrets of the galaxy. A plethora of exciting new features will captivate veteran and returning players, as well as usher in a whole new wave of Kerbonauts to the ingenious and comedic world that has entertained millions of players.

I see the first version of this game on many magazine and website's top 100 games list, never tried it but it seems to always get really good reviews, time to take the plunge I guess...

It's like 2 years out and KSP has tons of content and tons more mods. It's a lot cartoonier than the next one, but it's a remarkably comprehensive simulator for how accessible it is and it's hard not to enjoy strapping a bunch of explosives together and blasting them to the moon

I hope 2 is good, but the first is a really solid game.

KSP is a great game. I got into it as a Early Access deal and play it all the time. I loved it so much I got it for the kiddos. They love it as well.

Heard on a podcast that KSP2 is made by a different developer. Not sure if that's good or bad, but FYI in case you didn't know and it matters to you.

Yeah. I guess Take-Two Interactive bought Kerbal Space Program from Squad back in 2017. No details beyond that, though... best I could find was a PC Gamer article saying it was being made by a different "team".

Squad will continue to develop KSP 1. KSP 2 will be more about future rocket tech, interplanetary travel, colony building, etc.

Meh. It's coming to current Gen consoles so that's lowering my expectations quite a bit. Expect it to be dumbed down albeit pretty to look at. Hopefully the PC modding community can juice it up.

If it's a different 'team' then I'll just stay on KSP 1. Squad has been pretty cool with all the changes and development of KSP.
