Seriously though, would you rather just the same old difficulty in the 2nd run? Its natural they'd amp it up a bit. You'll learn to adapt, and believe me you're going to get much more satisfaction out of the added tension.

But if it makes you feel better, after the RPD section Mr X does not stalk you all that much more than in the first run for the remainder of the playthrough.
Well I guess I spoke too soon, because after that punishing beginning, I finally got access to two weapons and suddenly the game is way too easy. Like cheesey easy. A machine gun and grenade launcher?

I guess that's your reward for persevering through? I kinda it was rather back to the way it was before finding those weapons. That eyeball fella didnt stand a chance

I just beat it and I have to say that this game is the gold standard for remakes. What an awesome game. Time to start Leon B with the classic soundtrack for extra nostalgia now.

I played it on PS4 and I feel like it would have been way easier on PC. The aiming on PS4 makes a huge difference in this game, especially with ammo so scarce. There isn't very much aim assistance at all.

You mean easier with a mouse? (I played on PC with a PS4 controller)

I didn't try it with mouse and keyboard but I imagine it wouldn't be too much easier. You still have to line up and time your shots.

Hmm, I'm actually curious now how it would feel playing with a mouse. Might have to try it later.

Well yeah, you still have to line up your shots, but lining up shots with a mouse is far more precise. I played the demo on PC when it came out and I never missed a shot, but with the gamepad I had to be really careful timing the sway of heads. I actually preferred it though, because it added a challenge and made it felt more realistic than having the main character be a perfect sharp shooter.

Yeah sounds like the game was definitely intended to be played with controller.

Its a 3rd person over the shoulder style game after all though. Most people would naturally want to play them with controller anyways.

Not for me. Only "shooters" I play with mouse and keyboard these days are the fps variety. If you can see your character on screen then 99.999% of the time I just use a controller. Main reasons being, most of these games are designed and intended to be controlled with analogs sticks, and I always prefer playing the way its was intended by the devs to get the best experience. You can thank Resident Evil 4 and Gears of War for that.

As an aside, the Batman Arkham games are the only 3rd person games I can think of that I prefer mouse and keyboard for. I'm not even sure why but I just find them easier to control.

Which color space setting should I use for the game? sRGB or Rec. 709?

Using an ASUS ROG Swift PG279Q. I tried sRGB and the picture seems brighter while Rec. 709 seems darker. Not sure which is "correct."

I've only ever been able to get this game to look right on the PS4 but that's probably because of HDR, on the PC is looks either too dark, or too ****ing grey.
