Default Using a different Brand's Wall Charger

hi there,

does anyone know, if using other brand's wall charger to charger other brand's cellphone device, will there be any issue or even damage the cellphone itself?

Like if i use Samsung galaxy s 2 wall charger to charge LG phone.

or ipod touch 4 to charge lg phone etc

thanks

They are all the same, some may charge faster or slower but they still charge.

I've done that my whole life. Right now I've got 3 different phones in the house and 5 different branded chargers, I use whichever one's close. If it fits in the hole then it's good to go for me, I've never run into any trouble other than the occasional slow charge. Half the time I just charge on my pc via USB cable.

Different devices have different voltage/amperage. Some may provide output that's greater than what your device is designed to tolerate. Use your brand/model-specific charger.

Amperage doesn't matter, voltage does.

I have looked at minimum 12 different branded Micro USB chargers and all numbers are identical. If it can be charged with a USB cable, as long as the Micro USB wall charger meets the spec it is not a problem. I have not seen one wall charger that does not meet the spec and the phone stores would not be selling their own lines of chargers if it was a problem.

Now if the phone manufacturer wants to go proprietary thats another story. Luckily proprietary chargers a quickly becoming extinct and Micro USB is becoming more the norm these days.
