I'm in the middle of the game now, more or less, and I can already tell I'm going to have a hard time giving this show a pass.

I guess I've just seen too many game to studio productions get butchered, so expectations will be kept low, but it would be really nice if they can make this at least somewhat faithful.

Tris and Zoltan are not major characters in the books. In fact, I don't think they exist in the books because I couldn't find a single reference to them being in the books.

Dandelion however, is.

It looks like the Netflix series will also have characters from the books never used by the game.

So just remember this is a series based on the BOOKS, not the GAME. The old "Hexer" series which was truest to the books didn't have a Zolten or Triss either.

I don't know the depth of her storyline, but I've been reading what I can find on differences between the two.

Geralt in the books doesn't sound as much the major character as in the game.

Meh - wait long enough and I'll find out. As long as I can play the game the netflix garbage isn't that important to me.

I looked into Triss in the books and she was VERY different than how CD Project portrayed her. CD Project also gave Zolten a major role in the games, on par with Dandelion when in the books Dandelion was Geralt's only best friend.

In other words this series will resemble nothing like the games. Much like the Hexer series resembled nothing like the games.

In terms of appearance, I think that Henry Cavill makes a good Geralt of Rivia. His hair is spot-on, and his face is close enough to work.

In all fairness, that "teaser" was a hair test screening (or something like that). It'll be interesting to see Henry in full makeup and costume. Netflix shouldn't have released this "teaser".

Already finished filming? Damn that was quick.

Post production can still take a while, especially if the series is CGI heavy. Not sure if it is.

I'm expecting 2020 but earlier is definitely welcomed.
